Our plans for the future will help us to solve most of the problems that we are facing, and, thus, their potential is immensely high.

Education: Right now, our hearts break a little each time our children outgrow our nursery, because we are forced to send them away to another school just to continue their education. This separation is a heavy, costly burden for our foundation, but more importantly, it disrupts the lives of the children we love. Evening Star School will become the permanent home they deserve, keeping our school family together and ensuring no child is forced to abandon their familiar, safe and loving home. 

Food: food scarcity is one of the biggest challenges we have as Kizito Barbara Ministries. It’s hard and heartbreaking to live with the children when they are hungry, and feeding more than 78 children costs a lot. We want to get a farm to develop self-sufficiency through farming as well as rearing animals. We shall be using some of the produce for our communal home, and having meat from the animals will allow for balancing the diet once in a while. Any produce, animals, and animal products that are left over after feeding the children will be sold to the market in order to gather funds for the foundation.

Shelter: Providing adequate and enough shelter is also one of the challenges we have. These children come from different families and it’s hard to feed and take care of them well because at their homes they face problems with inadequate food, sleep, basic needs, safe housing, etc. Their being from separate families also makes it hard to manage and monitor their well-being and safety when they are at their familial homes. Therefore, we want to construct a communal home where we can safely live with these children and this will also help us to give a home to ‘street’ children with no family or shelter to call home.

There are also plans for the few children who do have both their parents, but whose parents can’t afford to take care of them. We plan to employ their parents in the foundation, fulfilling functions such as washing clothes, farming, and looking after the children in our home. In this way, these parents can partake in the raising of their kids and help us earn the funds necessary for maintaining the foundation. It is, however, a temporary measure only meant to cover the period until we manage to find them permanent employment outside Kizito Barbara Ministries. After getting jobs, these parents will be able to look after their children on their own, which would then lower the living costs of the foundation at large. With this plan, the children with parents would be able to return to their homes with their parents in a manner that is safe and sound.

Health: If the action plan outlined above is followed, the healthcare problems the foundation faces will be solved, since we will have an independent source of income that will allow us to finance medical care for the children.

Caretaking: We shall be educating and taking care of the children, all the way from the nursery to the university, or tertiary institutions where they can learn trades. But not only will we ensure their entire educational tract, we will also make sure that each and every child of ours gets a job. In this way we never cast them out of our family into insecurity, but make sure that they live securely in a world that’s abundant for them. 

Summary: in following the plan of self-sufficiency outlined above, the foundation will be able to stand on its own feet and achieve its ends without me and you. That means it will then run on its own, and a bright tomorrow will be created for our children, and our children’s children. This would ensure their peace will always last.

If all people around the world had a mind, vision, sympathy, compassion, love, and a mission like yours and ours… This world would have been heaven for helpless and hopeless children.

We can’t go on pretending that someone else will just take our part, it’s you and me, so let us begin.

1. Sponsor a child:  Every child has a great hidden potential that can be encouraged into bloom, but many need someone to trust them, to believe in their spark, in order to grow. When you choose to sponsor a child, you can help change their entire life by showing them you are that person that believes in them. Your support provides money for their participation at the school, and guides them by the hand from a hard life into a hopeful future. 

2. Talent development: Discovering and nurturing children’s talents is a powerful way of securing their future and let them grow into their full potential. Guidance and stimulation in youth helps children build vital skills, boosts their confidence, and opens up pathways for lifelong success and financial stability in a changing global world. 

3. Farming project: With every seed we plant, and every life we nurture on this land, we are growing more than just food—we are cultivating hope, self-reliance, and a brighter future for those who need it most. This turns our harvest into the very lifeline that sustains our foundation’s dream. 


4. Art and Craft: Through the magic of art and craft, we spark joy and hope in our children, and teach them to create beauty with their own hands. These precious handmade pieces are our way of saying thank you to our loving sponsors, and through local sales, they help us build a stable, self-reliant home for our entire foundation family.
